KCT301 Digital Coating Thickness Gauge

Check coating thickness without damaging the finish. On a painted steel panel or a coated aluminum part, the KCT301 gives you a clear reading on its backlit display and lets you keep measurements for later review. Select the probe that matches the base material before you measure.

Match the probe to the surface

• F1 probe: for non-magnetic coatings, such as paint or enamel, on ferrous substrates such as steel. Standard range: 0–1,250 μm.
• N1 probe: for insulating coatings, such as paint, plastic or anodic oxide, on conductive non-ferrous substrates such as aluminum or brass. Standard range: 0–1,250 μm.

The standard package includes one F1 probe, or an N1 probe instead if selected, not both. Measurement method and suitable substrate depend on the fitted probe. Optional F1/90° and F10 probes are available for specific access or larger-range ferrous measurements; the optional F10 range is up to 10,000 μm.

Useful during inspection

• Read and record: 128 × 64 backlit LCD, μm/mil units and memory for up to 600 readings across six files.
• Choose your pace: single and continuous measurement modes for spot checks or repeated readings.
• Review a batch: displays mean, maximum, minimum, measurement count and standard deviation.
• Catch out-of-range results: set limits for an automatic alert when a reading exceeds them.
• Keep measurements organized: delete an individual questionable result or clear stored data for a new job.
• Wireless transfer if configured: Bluetooth module and adapter are optional, not part of the listed standard package. With these options, measurements can be sent wirelessly to compatible software or a printer.
