KH180 Portable Leeb Hardness Tester
Take hardness checks to the workpiece instead of moving a heavy part to a bench. The KH180 is a handheld Leeb hardness tester for metal inspection, with measurement in any direction, including overhead positions. Use the included D impact device for routine checks, then save readings for review on the instrument or with the supplied PC software.

Made for practical metal testing
-
Measure from any angle: 360° measurement direction helps when the test surface cannot face upward.
-
Read in familiar scales: supports HL, HB, HRB, HRC, HRA, HV and HS, subject to the material and impact device used.
-
Keep results together: stores up to 600 groups of data, depending on the number of impacts set per group (1–32).
-
Spot out-of-tolerance readings: set limits for an automatic alarm during batch checks.
-
Adapt to the job: automatically identifies compatible impact devices; specialized devices are available separately.
Supported materials include steel and cast steel, alloy tool steel, stainless steel, cast irons, cast aluminum alloy and copper alloys. Material, surface condition, sample mass and the selected impact device affect which readings are suitable.
